In parts of the mountains in southern Norway, snow is expected in the coming days, and the Meteorological Institute has issued a yellow warning. In this context, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration asks road users to make an assessment of the choice of tire if they are considering going to the mountains in southern Norway. – We strongly recommend changing to winter tyres, says Jeanette Andresen, traffic operator at the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. More snow from tonight Watch meteorologist, Leonidas Tsopouridis, says that there are already snow showers in the mountain area. – Cold air is coming from the north-west, and it brings rain showers and snow showers above 400 m. He explains that in the area north of Innlandet and south of Trøndelag there may be 5–10 cm of snow. In the area of Sogn og Fjordane and Møre and Romsdag, it can reach up to 15 cm, and 20 cm locally. – Follow Bilbergar Pål Marius Hagadokken in Bilberging Valdres was given a rescue mission on the mountain pass Valdresflye when it snowed earlier this week. He says that it is as it usually is with the first snow. – As far as I could see, all the vehicles were properly locked. He warns that the weather changes quickly in the mountains.
