This just 48 hours before kick-off. The Times first reported that both parties discussed the issue, and that they have agreed to move Budweiser’s booths in Doha to less visible locations. Budweiser is one of Fifa’s main sponsors, and has exclusive rights to the beer service at the eight stadiums. Qatar practices strict alcohol regulations. It has mostly only been offered at a couple of hotels in Doha. Only those with VIP lodges will be able to drink alcoholic beverages. For ordinary supporters, it will be possible to buy alcohol in the fan parks in Doha.
