The Washington Post was the newspaper that was first out on Sunday and cited unnamed sources, who claimed the two had spoken, among other things, about the war in Ukraine. The Kremlin calls the claim pure and utter fantasy. According to the statement, Putin also has no immediate concrete plans to talk to the incoming president. This despite the fact that he said, in his congratulations to Trump when he won the election, that he was impressed by Trump and was ready to talk to him.
