The Norwegian Police Security Service (PST) is downgrading the threat level for terrorism from high to moderate, they write on their website. The threat level was upgraded on 8 October due to Iran-linked actors with a focus on Jewish and Israeli targets, which was a new and unclear element in the Norwegian threat picture. PST writes that they now consider that the actors represent to a lesser extent a threat to targets in Norway. They stress that a new upward adjustment can come at short notice. – Even if the assessment of the threat from Iran-linked actors is adjusted downward, the threat from extremists against Jewish and Israeli targets in Norway is still heightened, as it was before 8 October. NTB reported on the case first.
