The Danish government is therefore proposing to ban what they call inappropriate treatment of relics with significant religious significance for a religious community. The bill will therefore make it a criminal offense to burn the Koran or the Bible in a public place. Around four weeks ago, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, announced that the government would put an end to the corona fires. This as a signal to several Muslim countries, where the Koran burnings have been received very poorly.
