The woman is queer and lives with her partner and child. She therefore wishes to remain anonymous. – I felt quite nauseous, she says to news. The woman and her roommate were in Oslo on 25 June 2022. The insecurity after the attack is still with them, she says. Then it hurts to watch such videos. – I watched the stream for about an hour. A criminal case has been opened into the matter and a total of three people have been reported. – We have written a report, secured photos and will now continue to work on the case. As of now, they are suspected of breaching the Fire and Explosion Act. No decision has been taken as to whether more cases should be opened on the same matter, informs Dalsveen. The police did not question the suspects on Friday afternoon. Radicalization to both right-wing extremism and Islamism is a growing threat in Norway, according to PST’s national threat assessment. Increasingly, children end up in the spotlight of PST for radicalisation. Expect more threats PST says they are familiar with the TikTok stream, and have received tips from the public. – For our part, this illustrates the threat to queers that we are keen to talk about now before pride, says Siv Sørensen. She is a strategic analyst in the counter-terrorism field in PST. Sørensen says queerness became a target for higher extremism and extreme Islamists after the terrorist attack on 25 June 2022. – We expect more and more threats and incitement and harassment against queer people in the run-up to the Pride season. It is something we experience every year. – The right to live and be Leader in Free Oslo and Viken Marianne Gulli says they see flag burning as very serious. – There is a great and important need for the police and the security authorities to follow up on what may be threats or hatred towards queers.
