The consumer price index (CPI) rose by 2.6 from October last year to October this year, figures from Statistics Norway show. Food prices rose by 0.7 per cent last month, and by 3.9 per cent in the last year. Looking at the price changes adjusted for tax changes and excluding energy products (CPI-JAE), prices rose by 2.7 per cent in October. – Prices generally continue to rise, but more slowly than they have done in the last two years. That is why we see lower price growth, says Espen Kristiansen, head of section at Statistics Norway.
