10 October 2023 at 08:00 SSB: Prices have risen by 3.3 per cent in the past year The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 3.3 per cent from September last year to September this year. This is shown by figures from Statistics Norway (SSB). It is 1.5 percentage points lower than the twelve-month growth in August. It is especially the price development of electricity and food that has contributed to the sharp drop in price inflation. Core inflation, which is the CPI adjusted for tax changes and without electricity prices, is still high. From September last year to September this year, this rose by 5.7 per cent, which is 0.6 percentage points lower than the twelve-month rate in August.
