The reason is reduced retail and online shopping in Norway after the pandemic. The company has also invested in terminals and automatic sorting equipment that reduces the need for staffing. In addition to the reduction of temporary employees and suppliers, a reduction of permanent employees has been carried out, according to Olsen. – Part of this through redundancies on the basis of the uncertainty for the further development of the Norwegian economy and trade in goods in Norway. In total, this amounts to a reduction of 265 man-years and 170 distribution vehicles in Norway, says Olsen through his press manager.
