The synagogue is the religious meeting place for Jews in Oslo. It is run by the Mosaic religious community. Bahar says they have had an armed police guard outside the synagogue ever since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7. – We think it is very unfortunate that we have to have armed police watching over us. That the situation is so serious for Jews in Norway, he says. The chairman adds that he hopes that eventually they will not have to have guards at the synagogue.
