An extensive check by the police in the South East resulted in a number of orders for the security company Sølvberget Sikkerhet. Several guards lacked the necessary training. Others have been employed without a legally required police certificate. Nor did the general manager of the company have the necessary approval to run security services. Security companies have requirements for security training for their employees. Four employees do not have sufficient education, and three of them are also no longer employed by the company as stated, according to the report from the inspection. Unit leader in the police in the South-East police district, Torill Sorte, can only comment on a general basis, and not on this specific case. – If the deficiencies are serious enough, the holder risks losing the right to run the security company, says Sorte to news. Police officers worked illegally as security guards The man who runs Sølvberget Sikkerhet used to be a policeman. He has previously been reported 23 times for financial adultery, social dumping and tax evasion. All reviews have been closed. The ex-policeman is also under investigation in two criminal cases, after the public prosecutor in Oslo decided that the cases should be reopened. In the past, news has revealed that police officers have worked illegally for the same security company. All of these have been exempted from the requirement for guard training from the Norwegian Police Directorate. Three of them worked for the security company before they were given a dispensation. The general manager must now account for this. He is said to have known back in 2016 that he is obliged to apply for a dispensation for former police officers. It has not been done. The general manager of Sølvberget Sikkerhet has been given three weeks to comply with the orders. There he must, among other things, explain the lack of security guard training or a new approval of security guard training for his employees. If this is not documented within the deadline, the relevant employees can no longer work for the company. news has been in contact with the general manager of Sølvberget Sikkerhet. He will not comment on the matter.
