Around midnight on the night of Saturday, the police received a report of the sighting of a man with an ax in the center of Oslo. – There was no ongoing threat situation, or other people who appeared to be involved, operations manager Bjørn Gunnar Nysæter tells news. The police quickly arrived at the scene, but the person in question did not comply with instructions from the police patrol. – It became necessary to use electroshock weapons to handle the situation in a safe way, says Nysæter. The man was arrested and is receiving medical supervision before being taken into custody.
