Person picked up from the sea in Tromsø – news Troms and Finnmark

The man who was taken to UNN after a car ended up in the lake in central Tromsø on Friday afternoon, was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Operations manager Beate Helberg confirms to news that a person was picked up from the sea where the car ended up outside. The person was transported to the University Hospital of Northern Norway (UNN) by ambulance. The incident leader at the scene tells news that there was only one person in the car. The police and fire service are on the scene and are now sending divers down to investigate whether there are people in the car. There were no witnesses present, says Helberg. The coast guard also contributed to surface searches in the area.
