6 September 2023 at 11:12 Person found in the sea in Trondheim has been identified On Saturday 26 August, divers from the fire service found remains in the sea outside Korsvika in Trondheim, during a routine exercise. A DNA sample was extracted and sent to Oslo University Hospital, which has now identified the person as Lars Røstad. The police write this in a press release. Relatives have been notified. Røstad was reported missing in April 2021 and was then 33 years old. Røstad lived in Trondheim. The police made several searches for Røstad both on land and in the sea, in addition to taking several investigative steps, such as questioning and reviewing electronic traces. The police do not suspect that there is anything criminal behind the death. The next of kin have been informed that the name has been released to the press.
