– The discovery was made in the terrain in the hiking area in Jegersberg at approximately 10.30 a.m. by crews participating in the search operation, says operations manager Linn Andresen in the Agder police district. The person has not been identified, but the police put the find in connection with the search that has been going on in Jegersberg and the surrounding area since Wednesday 2 October, when a man in his 30s was reported missing to the police. Relatives have been notified of the discovery. There is nothing to suggest that anything criminal has happened or that other people are involved. – Forensic technicians have been called to the scene and we are now moving into a phase focusing on investigation, says Andresen. He had not returned after he went out for a walk in the outdoor area in the afternoon. That same night, a search operation was launched. Searches have been made with a helicopter and drone, and dog patrols have searched for the man in the popular hiking area without success.
