2 January 2024 at 12:03 Person dead after drowning accident in Haugesund A person was found apparently lifeless in Skeisvatnet near the center of Haugesund. The person was observed in the water around a quarter to twelve on Tuesday morning. The person was taken out of the water, and people at the scene started cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Just after twelve o’clock, the person was taken to hospital in an ambulance. The resuscitation attempts were ended at the hospital and the patient has been declared dead. An investigation has been launched into the reason why the person in question ended up in the water. The identity will not be made public at this time. A larger area around the diving tower in the water is blocked off.
