Nine people have been transported to St. Olav’s hospital, three of them in an air ambulance. On Monday morning, the police reported that 38 people were exposed to a mixture of chlorine and acid at an industrial company in Vanvikan in Trøndelag. The company in question is called Cfeed. They produce and sell crayfish that are used for food in the aquaculture industry. – The mixture forms a gas, and then you have difficulty breathing. But when they got away, luckily it passed and they got better breathing, says operations manager in the police Wenche Johnsen. More than 50 people were evacuated from the area. No danger of spreading The police were notified of the incident around 11 o’clock. It was quickly decided that people had to be evacuated. – The fire brigade was quickly in place. The object owner also knew what to do, says Mattis Hamborg, operations manager in Trøndelag police district. He says they have received confirmation that 9 people are transported to St. Olav’s hospital with symptoms, while 25 people are taken care of by the municipality’s health team.
