According to Reuters, one person died and 30 people were injured, several of them seriously. The accident happened at 03.35 on Tuesday at Voorschoten in the south of the country. The front part of the passenger train lies outside on a field, and the middle part lies overturned along the track. A fire has broken out in the rear part of the train.
