It is a new record for the collection campaign, which each year chooses a new purpose for which the money will go. The previous record is a year old, when Doctors Without Borders and DNDi received NOK 266.2 million. This year’s TV campaign goes to Save the Children’s work for children affected by war and conflict. The money collected is distributed between projects in Ukraine, Syria, Bangladesh, South Sudan, DR Congo and Norway. When the TV campaign went off the air before Kveldsnytt on Sunday evening, the amount was up to NOK 273,747,956. It is still possible to give until 1 December, so the final figure may be higher.
