June 30, 2022 at 21:01 Oslo police district requests storage of video surveillance for 8 weeks The Oslo police district now encourages storage of video surveillance in central Oslo after the shooting on Saturday night, the Oslo police district writes in a press release. The Oslo Police District asks public and private actors within the enclosed marked area to store video recordings in the period from Friday 24 June at 18:30 to Saturday 25 June at 01:30. The police request that the recordings be stored for 8 weeks. It is common practice for such recordings to be stored for 7 days, but for compelling reasons they can be stored longer. Police say the shooting at several nightclubs in Oslo on Saturday night is one such reason. The police will contact the individual themselves, if they need a stored recording within a given area. At the same time, they ask not to be contacted until you are asked due to capacity considerations.
