The driver of the car has been taken to Ullevål hospital with moderate injuries after being unconscious for a period. In addition, two people who were inside the shop were hit. Both they and a pedestrian are slightly injured. One of them has been taken to the emergency room. – The cause of the accident is currently unknown, but based on the driver’s explanation, there may have been technical faults with the vehicle, says task leader Gunhild Finne Nilsen. The driver of the car states that the brakes on the car have not worked. It is not suspected that the driver was under the influence of drugs. There is extensive damage to the car. It is said to have also run into a parked car before it drove into the wall of the house. The building is damaged, but the extent is not yet known. The caretaker for the building is on site and looks after security. – There is extensive damage to the facade of the store. We were a little worried about the construction, but the fire service has looked at it, and it is safe, says Nilsen. Traffic was temporarily blocked at the intersection Sannergata/Christies gate. At 11:15 the barriers were lifted, except in the public transport area until glass and other things have been removed. Bus line 21 does not stop between Alexander Kiellands plass and Københavngata because of the incident.
