15 March 2023 at 12:08 Oslo Børs plunges – down 3 per cent Oslo Børs falls significantly on Wednesday. At 12 o’clock the main index had fallen 3 per cent. The banking collapse in the US continues to cause unrest in the market. On Oslo Børs, the main index fell steadily in the first hours after opening on Thursday. At 12 o’clock the main index fell to 1,169.7 points, down more than 3 per cent. Then there were red numbers for all of the five most traded companies: Equinor (-3.55), Aker BP (-3.87), Frontline (-2.99), DNB (-3.66) and Yara (- 1.29). The largest European stock exchanges are also affected by the banking crisis in the USA, although there are not as many changes as on the Oslo Stock Exchange. The DAX 30 index in Frankfurt was down 2.46 percent, while the CAC 40 index in Paris and the FTSE 100 index in London had fallen 3.05 and 2.25 percent. The oil price was at 12 noon at 76.79 dollars a barrel, which was 0.85 percent down since midnight. (NTB)
