A carriage on the “Jetline” roller coaster in Gröna Lund in Stockholm has derailed, reports SVT. Police and ambulance are on the scene. The police have emptied the park of people. An area around the park is also closed to allow ambulances and rescue services to arrive. The track of the Berg-og-dal-banen was put into use in 1988, and is 30 meters high and 800 meters long. The carriages can reach up to 90 kilometers per hour. According to SVT, one of the carriages must have derailed at speed, and several people must have been thrown out when the carriage fell to the ground. One person is said to have become stuck. Work will be done to get the people down in the other carriages that are stuck in the track. It is unknown what is the cause of the carriage derailment, says head of information at Gröna Lund, Annika Troselius, to Expressen. – This is something that should not happen, and it is very tragic for everyone involved, she says.
