Olaf Tufte broke last year’s incredible record in the Master of Masters – news Vestfold and Telemark – Local news, TV and radio

In program eight, the table was set for the so-called hell week, with tough exercises on the menu. For Olaf Tufte, the competition to carry sandbags should be one of the exercises he will remember extra well. The name “Gravity” was not chosen by chance. Refuse to give up The challenge consists in carrying more and more sandbags back and forth between two stands. After ten rounds, the men ask for 120 kilos and the women 90 kilos. Two years ago, it was current program manager Aksel Lund Svindal who set a new record, with 71 rounds. When Nils Jakob Hoff impressed with a whopping 82 rounds last year, many thought that the ceiling had been reached. That time no. Olaf Tufte secured a new record. The powerhouse from Nykirke did not give up until he had completed an incredible 101 rounds. He himself remembers that he did not dare to give up. – It’s one of those exercises where you don’t know what the others are doing. When you are surrounded by such strong people, you just have to keep going, and hope the others haven’t gone as far, says Tufte. Would like to do it again But even if he set a new record with sandbags, and won two out of three rehearsals in the episode, he would like to have the opportunity again. He was not quite in shape during the exercises in question. – I was not one hundred percent healthy. I would have liked to have performed better in some of the exercises, but I didn’t have much more to contribute here and there. After all, the most important thing is to get through and stay on, says Tufte. He himself came out best in both “Gravity” and “The Wall”, but in the rehearsal “På vippen” he had to see himself beaten by Kristin Holte. He was impressed by all the participants, but admits that the crossfit athlete got a slightly extra high star. – Kristin is a completely insane lady. We had a good chemistry early on in the recording, and think a lot alike, says Tufte. Kristin Holte ran away with the winner in the rehearsal “På vippen”. Which of the four athletes who are still going out will not be revealed until next week’s episode.
