AS Roma confirms this on their website. Many have been excited about which club Solbakken will choose when the contract with Bodø/Glimt expires at the turn of the year. There have long been stories that Solbakken was going to end up in the eternal city, and now it has been confirmed. Trønder has signed a contract of four and a half years and will officially become a Roma player from 1 January. – I have pushed for this, I really wanted to be a Roma player, and now I can finally say that I am, says Solbakken on the club’s website. The 24-year-old says in the press release that he is going to Rome to learn and improve, but also to show what he can do. He says he is looking forward to playing in front of the Roma fans. He will play in kit number 18. Solbakken has posted a message of thanks to the Bodø/Glimt fans on his own Instagram profile. – First of all, I want to say thank you. It is sad to think that my time in Bodø/Glimt is coming to an end, writes Solbakken. On Wednesday morning, before the transfer was confirmed, he writes that he will take with him the memories of the adventure in Europe, two series golds and all nice people for the rest of his life. – I would therefore like to say a big thank you to all the players, coaches and fans, who have made this adventure possible, he continues. From Kjetil Knutsen to Mourinho Roma are in 7th place in the Italian elite division. Here he becomes teammates with, among others, Paulo Dybala, Tammy Abraham, Nemanja Matic, Georginio Wijnaldum and Stephan El Shaarawy.
