Økokrim makes a decision in the Solberg case – news Norway – Overview of news from various parts of the country

Finnes made over 3,000 share transactions while his wife was prime minister from 2013 to 2021. The transactions have led to Solberg acknowledging that she may have been incompetent in several cases she dealt with as prime minister. And that Økokrim has until now investigated Finnes’ dealings. There are several politicians and politician-husbands who have been in Økokrim’s spotlight over the past six months. Ola Borten Moe is being investigated after E24 revealed that the former minister owned shares in the Kongsberg group, at the same time that he attended a meeting about an arms contract. Økokrim decided not to investigate the married couple Ola Flem and Anniken Huitfeldt. Flem also owned shares in, among other things, Kongsberggruppen while his wife was a minister. The Storting’s Control and Constitution Committee is currently dealing with several cases concerning the competence of politicians.
