A man in his 20s, who was convicted of raping two children in the spring of 2023, has pleaded guilty to sexual intercourse with another child in Agder district court on Monday. The incident occurred while he was awaiting a new trial after appealing the case to the Court of Appeal. The man was released when the police believed there was no risk of reoffending. The new assault happened two months after the first sentence was handed down. He explained himself in court on Monday. The man is said to have asked for sexual services in exchange for alcohol. Valvik says that her client himself told the court that he was subjected to abuse as a youth. – He does not say that this is an excuse for what he has done, but that it can be an explanation.
