But they still think it is a shame that the police do not prioritize the case more strongly. – After all, it depends on the use of resources and the priority of resources. We wish it could be pushed a little more. Because it affects an entire local community in Valdres. And it has done so for 20 years. If the person concerned continues like this, there will only be more reviews, says Tina. The police could not find any clues in the letter that could lead them closer to the perpetrator. – The person who writes the letters is quite skilled, you could say, says Tina. – It has been special to receive the letters. We have felt all kinds of emotions. We have also received letters from the others who have been sent such letters. Many are much uglier than the ones we got. The last letter was opened at the police station so that all evidence could be taken care of. But the police still couldn’t find a trace. Photo: Lars Erik Skresfrud / news Does not get hits on DNA news has several times discussed the case of the hate letters – which have been investigated by the police in the interior. – The cases have been handed over to an unknown perpetrator, as we have not succeeded in getting any closer to who has sent both this letter and the others. It has been difficult to find the perpetrator. But the resource situation is pressing, and this has not been at the top of the priority list. But we believe we have done what we can as of now, and have come no closer to a perpetrator. Many of the letters have been visited by several people. That is why it is often difficult to get hits on DNA and fingerprints, she says. But Hanssen does not want to rule out that the hate letter cases will be resumed. – We are still interested in information if anyone is aware of this, she says. Eyes of hope But the couple still have hope that the matter can be resolved. Now TV2’s Åsted Norge has taken on the case, and the hope is to find an answer to who is the sender of the letter. – We think it is very good.
