Now “Entur” sells tickets for public transport to the whole of Norway – Greater Oslo

– With the Entur app you can now buy tickets across county borders and various forms of transport, says transport minister Jon-Ivar Nygård. – This makes it easier to travel green and sustainably. In the travel app, you will find buses, trams, trains, railways, ferries, scooters and city bikes gathered in one place. You can now buy single tickets in all the country’s counties. Now the goal has been reached, says Christel Borge in Entur. Christel Borge is CEO of the state-owned technology company Entur. Wants agreements with commercial companies Entur’s ambition is to be able to sell all types of public transport tickets in the app. Train tickets for journeys with Vy, SJ and Go-Ahead are available. Entur already has an agreement with Flybussen. It is possible to buy tickets for five of their routes in the Entur app. All are in the Oslo area. – We hope to get agreements in place with more in the long term. No mark-up in the price Both Entur and the public transport companies have a common goal. That more people should travel by public transport. Then it must be made easier to choose this, says Borge in Entur. Also for those who are going to a place they are not familiar with. When you look up where you’re going, you get various alternative travel methods. And when they need to use public transport from various public transport companies. – We do this by allowing them to find all journeys and buy tickets in one place – without a mark-up on the price, emphasizes Borge. Contributes to lower climate emissions Entur is a state-owned technology company. Their task is to get more people to choose collective, sustainable travel. – We want to reduce our climate emissions, and then more of our journeys must be made by public transport, says the transport minister. He believes that one of the success factors is that it should be easy to travel by public transport. The Entur app contributes to this, says Nygård.
