How the pawn lottery works You participate in the pawn lottery by pressing the Red Cross button on the pawn machine. Your deposit is used as a stake in the lottery and each ticket costs 50 øre. A small bottle thus gives four tickets in the Pantelotterie, while a large bottle gives six tickets. If you deposit ten small bottles, you will therefore receive 40 tickets (and 40 chances of winning) in the Pantelotteriet. The probability of winning is 1/467 and on average every 15th participant in the lottery wins. You can win NOK 50, NOK 100, NOK 1,000, NOK 10,000 or NOK 1 million. Whether or not there is a win is shown on the slip that comes out of the deposit machine. You can find Pantelotteriet in all REMA1000, Meny, Kiwi, Coop and SPAR stores, as well as in many Nærbutikken and Joker stores.
