The hotel was subjected to an attack by the Islamist group Al-Shabab on the night of Saturday. It took over 30 hours for the Somali police and military to gain control of the situation. – We are aware that one or more Norwegian citizens may be affected. We are now working to investigate and verify that through known diplomatic channels. This is what communications advisor at the Foreign Ministry, Ragnhild Håland Simenstad, tells news. – We are horrified by the brutal terrorist attack in the capital. 21 people have so far been confirmed killed.
