Norwegians left NOK 9.3 billion on day trips abroad last year, new figures from the statistics for Border Trade show. This is reported by Statistics Norway (SSB). Around NOK 4 billion was spent on food and groceries. In total, we went on 4.7 million day trips out of the country to fill up the shopping basket. Left the most money in Strömstad Almost NOK 8 billion was left in Sweden. Strömstad with Nordby and Svinesund is the sunny favorite destination. – Here we left almost NOK 5.1 billion last year and this corresponded to 54 per cent of all cross-border trade, says senior advisor at Statistics Norway Guro Henriksen. – Charlottenberg follows in second place.
