On Monday around 15.40, the Norwegian Foreign Ministry confirms that a Norwegian citizen has died in Cyprus. A primary school-aged girl has reportedly been found unconscious in a hotel pool in the Famagusta region, where she was on holiday with her parents. The police inform Dagbladet that the incident happened at noon on Sunday. The girl is said to have been transported by ambulance to the regional hospital where she received first aid and regained consciousness. Later, she is said to have been taken to a hospital in Nicosia, where she suffered complications during the transport, which meant she needed a ventilator.
