The circumstances surrounding the death are currently unknown. VG reported the incident first. – There is a person in his 60s, resident in Rogaland, who has died in connection with an accident, says head of investigation at Sør-Vest police district Morten Vestbø to news. The next of kin have been notified. The man must have taken part in a climbing expedition, and was on his way up the mountain Aconcuaga, Vestbø told VG. Aconcuaga is the highest mountain in the western hemisphere with a height of 6962 metres.
