The first year for payment is 2018. In today’s krone value, this will mean a total of NOK 175 million over 25 years. However, the payment must be adjusted annually in line with price growth. The government will also allocate 0.1 øre per kilowatt-hour of the value creation at the wind farm directly to the reindeer herding. It is therefore likely that the total compensation will be at least NOK 225 million for the entire concession period. Nord-Fosen siida has also received an advance payment of NOK 5 million.
