For the next six hours, no one else is allowed to stand in the queue. The decision to stop the queue for at least six hours was taken by the British government on Friday morning. Since Wednesday, the coffin with the late Queen has been lying on a catafalque, draped by the monarch’s flag, in the 900-year-old chamber in the Houses of Parliament in London. The queue stretches across a bridge, along the south side of the Thames, and is now eight kilometers long. Tens of thousands of people have already visited the Queen’s coffin ahead of Monday’s funeral at Westminster Abbey. (NTB)
