28 June 2024 at 08:02 No longer danger of tsunami waves after earthquake in Peru An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 has been registered just off the coast of Peru, according to the earthquake center USGS. It was previously reported about the danger of tsunami waves of up to 3 metres. The warning has now been withdrawn, reports the US Tsunami Warning Centre. The American earthquake center USGS upgraded the strength of the earthquake shortly after it occurred about 8.8 kilometers from the Atiquipa district in southern Peru. The German georesearch center GFZ says the quake took place at a depth of 10 kilometers. (news/NTB)
