28 December 2023 at 08:29 Cold Öberg isolated herself at Christmas Swedish biathlon star Hanna Öberg had to celebrate Christmas Eve without the rest of her family after catching a cold shortly before the big day. Together with biathlon sister Elvira, the 28-year-old was scheduled to celebrate Christmas with her parents and partner Martin Ponsiluoma. In the Vinterpasset podcast, Öberg opens up about the somewhat unusual holiday celebration. – I celebrated together with our parents’ dogs in the basement. At least they haven’t avoided me like the plague, says a joking Öberg. She says that the Christmas dinner was eaten alone. – Martin has delivered food to me on the stairs. We had dinner in different places, but we met a little later in the evening. Elvira had arranged dessert, and we handed out Christmas presents. Next week, the biathlon elite will be in action in last year’s World Cup town of Oberhof. However, it is unclear whether the World Cup weekend takes place with or without elder sister Öberg. – The thing is that I’m not very bad, just a cold.
