Nils Nilsen is kicked out of the Industrial and Business Party (INP) – news Sørlandet – Local news, TV and radio

The reaction comes after a confrontation with the mayor in the city council. – Agder INP deprives Nils Nilsen of his membership with immediate effect, says Kjell Sandvik, county leader of Agder INP. This means that he cannot speak out or represent the party in any way, emphasizes the county leader. Sandvik says the party strongly distances itself from Nilsen’s behavior in the city council earlier this week. The party also apologizes to the mayor and city council. Nilsen claims to news that he has not been informed that he has been stripped of his membership in the party. – It is a flat lie, says Sandvik, who says the decision was sent to Nilsen by e-mail around 11 o’clock on Friday. The party also states that Nilsen can appeal the decision to the central board. See the situation here: – The worst thing I have experienced Nils Nilsen is a former member of the Democrats. He joined the Industrial and Business Party in August, after he broke with the Democrats in June, following a conflict with the party. During Wednesday’s city council meeting, things came to a head. Nilsen would not accept that he is referred to as an independent representative, since he was a member of the INP. The municipality believes he should be seen as independent, because he was elected to the city council for the Democrats. The disagreement led to a heated argument between Nilsen and the mayor, which led to shouts from the hall. – This is starting to approach one of the worst things I have experienced, said the mayor. Nils Nilsen’s behavior in the city council will also be discussed in the chairmanship. There, the politicians must agree on how such behavior will be handled in the future. – We deal with the fact that he is not a member of the party in which he was elected. But this is about Nilsen’s behavior in the city council. This must be dealt with, because this is behavior we cannot allow, says mayor Jan Oddvar Skisland. news has been in contact with municipal attorney Elisabeth Bach-Evensen Grønningsæter. She does not wish to comment on this matter, and refers to the mayor. Out of two parties in five months At the election three years ago, Nilsen was elected to the city council for the Democrats, after the party made a snap election. Several times since he joined the city council there has been a storm around Nilsen. Nilsen helped start the Facebook page Sørlandsnyheten. Nilsen and Sørlandsnyheten have been accused of spreading lies, incitement and harassment about municipal employees, politicians and private individuals. But in June this year there was a deadlock in the Democrats. Nilsen was unwanted by the city council group until the party got hold of an unpublished press release, which they believed had been written by Nilsen. In the letter it was stated that the county board and the local team boards in the Democrats Agder no longer had confidence in several of the party’s members in the city council. Nilsen about Kleppe: – Complete crisis He also said in an interview with Fædrelandsvennen that the Democrats are a party that attracts racists. He also came out harshly against group leader Vidar Kleppe and called his leadership a “crisis” in Fædrelandsvennen. Later, the Democrats made it clear that Nilsen was done with the party. Nilsen was never excluded from the Democrats, but opted out himself. Leader Geir Ugland Jacobsen has rejected the racist complaints and believes Nilsen deliberately wanted to harm the party. Breached ethical regulations In 2020, Nilsen received strong criticism from a majority of the city council. The majority believed that Nilsen had breached the ethical regulations of elected representatives. Nilsen himself acknowledged that he had broken the regulations, after he sent an e-mail to the city council with a number of allegations about several people. He has also previously called the mayor “incompetent as mayor and politician”.
