19 February 2024 at 12:28 news profile for Norec Former news correspondent Roger Sevrin Bruland becomes the new head of communications for the Norwegian Center for Exchange Cooperation (Norec) in Førde. The 46-year-old has 15 years behind him at news. For the past six years, he has covered both the corona pandemic and the war in Ukraine. Bruland started as an intern at the Nynorsk media center in Førde in 2008, before he worked for 11 years as a foreign worker at news. In 2022, he received the Ministry of Culture’s Nynorsk prize for journalists. Director of Norec, Jan Olav Baarøy, is very pleased with the appointment. There were 18 applicants for the position. – Bruland joins a communications section with four skilled people. I have faith that together they will bring the communication work in Norec to new heights. Bruland is energetic and solution-oriented, and I look forward to having him on staff, he says.
