Bama employees notified It was employees at Bama’s depot in Oslo who notified the police about the find. – We receive information from Bama, where observations have been made which indicate that there may be drugs in their legal cargo, says Metlid. Metlid confirms that this is still a hypothesis. – We probably see it as relevant this time as well, somewhat based on information in the previous case and the investigation so far. – We can neither rule out nor conclude in any way yet, but there is a strong theory this time that it is intended for a different market, says Metlid. Sees connection with previous seizures The police see a connection with the previous, large cocaine seizure. – In any case, there are similarities in mode. It is a legal cargo linked to bananas, and based on information it appears that this cargo also comes from Ecuador and has visited another port, says Metlid. In the future, international police cooperation will be important in the case, says Metlid. – No reason to search For the police and Metlid, it is important to spread the word that the cocaine is in the police’s possession. – It is important to say this time too that the seizure is with the police and is in a safe place. – Why is it so important to say? – It is important when there are values as large as this to convey to actors and networks that it is with the police.
