4 February 2023 at 00:57 New police officer fired in connection with the Tire Nichols case The police in Memphis in the US say they have fired yet another police officer involved in the death of Tire Nichols. 29-year-old Nichols died three days after he was beaten up by five police officers in early January. These five policemen were all fired and are charged with murder. Both the policemen and Nichols are black. The sixth police officer who is now fired is white. It has already been known that he was under investigation and suspended. In a statement, the police say that the police officer violated the police’s guidelines for conduct, honesty and compliance with rules.
