26 June 2023 at 16:04 New culture minister – two new names launched Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Ap) plans to appoint a new culture and equality minister on Wednesday. From before, Rogaland Ap has launched Hadia Tajik, while Ap mayors in Telemark have pointed to outgoing Skien mayor Hedda Foss Five. Earlier today, Mette Gundersen from Kristiansand was launched by Agder Ap. Until recently, she was state secretary in the Ministry of Transport and Communications and is now regional leader of LO Agder. Now another Labor name is being launched – namely former parliamentary representative and Lindås mayor Tove Linnea Brandvik – who now leads the Norwegian Handicapped Association. It is Ap’s resource group for the disabled that has recorded her as a candidate, news is told. General secretary of Uloba, Vibeke Marøy Melstrøm, says it is time for disabled people to become visible in the top political leadership as well. – We are Norway’s largest minority. Tove Linnea Brandvik has extensive experience in politics, good insight into the work for disabled people and has worked for integration and diversity for many years, she says.
