The fire service is on the Hurum Peninsula in Asker, where another forest fire has been reported on the Hurum Peninsula. The fire must be at Røsvennet, they write. There is around 400 m² on fire and it is burning well, said duty commander Ola Klakegg in the fire service to news at 4.45pm. The fire spread to around 40 acres before the fire brigade got control. At 18.30 the police wrote that the fire service has control over what are described as fire fronts. But the work on the forest fire will continue for some time to come. – Work is ongoing with extinguishing and digging. The effort will continue throughout the night and probably throughout the day tomorrow, the police write. At 7 p.m., the police say that the fire is out, and that the fire service is now entering a post-extinguishing phase. The police are working to get hikers out of the area around the forest fire. The car park down towards Ulsrudvann and Østmarksetra was also closed. – There are a lot of people in the area who are being worked on getting out. Tourists coming in from Haraløkka will also be prevented from entering the field from there, the police wrote at 17:06. There should be no risk of spread to buildings, they write further. – Extinguishing work has started. Fire helicopters are on their way and drones are in the air. So far there has been no report of an inspection, said operations manager in the police, Marita Aune at 5.15pm. She also adds that no injuries were reported. There is no danger of construction so far, the police write. At 7 p.m., duty manager in Øst-110, Roger Andersen, says that they currently have no control over the fire. – The forest is still burning. The last thing we updated is that it is burning for 60 by 60 metres. There are quite a lot of resources and cars out there. We don’t have control at the moment, Andersen says. The fire brigade in Drøbak say they hope to get the fire under control during Thursday evening.
