A new report from the health authorities states that around 4 out of 10 Americans are obese, and approximately 10 percent are morbidly obese. In particular, the proportion of women with morbid obesity has increased in the last ten years. The report shows that about 40 percent of the population in the USA has a BMI (body mass index) of over 30. The figure is based on changes from 2021 to 2023.
