The demonstrators are angry after the country’s worst train accident that happened last week, in which 57 people died. The demonstration is being held on the same day as publicly employed doctors, teachers and transport workers are organizing a 24-hour strike in the country. They are protesting against cutbacks which they believe contributed to the train accident. There have been several large demonstrations, clashes with the police and strikes in the past week.
