New actors are involved in prosecution for illegal cabin construction on Tjøme – news Vestfold and Telemark – Local news, TV and radio

At the weekend it became known that the architect Rune Breili, who was previously convicted of corruption, has been charged again by Økokrim. Earlier this year, he was convicted of gross corruption following cases concerning building permits at Tjøme. Several properties in Tjøme are the background for the new indictment. Økokrim believes the architect has given misleading information about extensions to cabins. They are said to have set up an annex and a shed in violation of the building ban along the sea. In the same complex of cases, an architectural firm, a construction firm and an architect have been charged with violating the Planning and Building Act, reports Økokrim. The indictment In the period from 2015 to 2019, the architect must have provided incorrect information and failed to provide information in connection with applications to the then Tjøme municipality. According to the indictment, the applications concern permission for building measures on two properties. The architect is also accused of having designed a new holiday home with a main house and extension for the one property in violation of the municipality’s land plans. The project’s drawings and descriptions formed, among other things, the basis for applications to the municipality. On the other property, the architect is accused of having designed a new shed and a new annex in violation of the building ban within the 100-metre belt from the sea by, among other things, preparing drawings and descriptions for executing contractors. A cabin owner has had his case dismissed, and this case has been transferred to the municipality for follow-up.
