Nelly made her television debut as a judge on “The Great Famous Chef,” where she became an endearing face in local entertainment. Now, as that kitchen reality show approaches its conclusion, Nelly is embarking on an exciting new venture: her first cookbook, titled “The Recipes of My Life.”
As 2025 comes around, Nelly, reflecting on her time in the reality show, mentioned, “I am quite grateful. I feel a sense of closure. The program was meant to last just two months, but here I am after two and a half years!” She acknowledges that a break is essential, agreeing that every format requires renewal to keep it exciting for the audience.
Despite her gratitude for the journey, Nelly understands the necessity for change. She enthusiastically describes the transition: “It’s like if you jumped every day, and now you want a different taste, something like ceviche.” Naturally, the discussion shifts toward her departure from the show and the fall in viewership associated with it. “The audience had lowered a little, mainly because the novelty wore off over time,” Nelly insightfully explains.

Nelly’s relationship with the culinary world has been enriching, particularly due to her partnership with Giacomo Bocchio, a fellow judge on the show. “He has been one of the most generous teachers, encouraging me to explore my potential. He even motivated me to start my YouTube channel,” she shared. On the day of her book’s release, Giacomo will stand next to her to support her endeavors.
Her cookbook will be officially launched on July 19 during the International Book Fair of Lima, marking another milestone in her career. Despite the conclusion of her television chapter, it’s crucial to note that Nelly Rossinelli is not stepping away from the screen entirely. A new cooking show is in the works, which she is enthusiastic about but prefers to keep under wraps until the first recordings begin.
“It’s a beautiful time in my life. There’s always more to explore and create,” she says. Aviation, once a deep passion, continues to linger in her heart. Nelly assures that this aspect of her life will never fade away completely. “If someone says, ‘Nelly, we need you to fly,’ I wouldn’t hesitate. Aviation will always hold a special place in my life, whatever path I take.”
