The police received a report on Sunday afternoon that the boy had gone missing from his entourage on a hunting trip northwest of Vigeland in Lindesnes. – When time passed, it was decided to initiate a larger search, says operations manager Ole Bjørn Kleivane in the Agder police district. The boy was on a trip with family members when he went missing at around 1.30pm. As of Sunday evening, he has still not been found. The police have used dogs, cars and drones in the search. More than 100 volunteers have also stepped up to contribute. The Red Cross, Norwegian Rescue Dogs, the Scouts’ emergency group and Norwegian People’s Aid are all participating in the search on Sunday evening. – We have a good chance, and hope to find the boy, says Jørgensen at 7.15pm on Sunday evening. The search operation is ongoing in a larger area, northwest of Vigeland. The area in which the boy has disappeared consists of forest and slightly mountainous terrain. – There is dense vegetation, a lot of water and marsh. So the terrain is demanding for the ground crews.
