The Russian opposition politician died on February 16, while he was incarcerated in a prison camp in Siberia. Navalny was imprisoned in 2020 when he returned to Russia from Germany. The funeral will take place on Friday, March 1 at the Borisovsky cemetery. The family wants the funeral to be public. Before the funeral, a memorial service will be held in a church in the Marino district. On Tuesday, Yarmysh wrote that they have had difficulty finding a suitable place to say goodbye to Navalny. – Some of them say they are fully booked. Others balk when we mention the surname “Navalny”. Somewhere we were told that the funeral directors were prohibited from working with us.
